Raunak Mela-2026 revives cultural spirit at PU-ISSER; Sanjay Tandon applauds students’ enthusiasm and teamwork

Chandigarh, March 4 2026: The PU-ISSER campus came alive with vibrant cultural celebrations as Raunak Mela-2026, a grand two-day cultural festival, was successfully organized on March 2 and 3 with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.
 The dignitaries who graced the occasion included Senior BJP leader & National BJP Council member Sanjay Tandon; MLA from Una, Satpal Singh Satti; ABVP’s Gaurav Attri & Kismat Palsara, PUCSC Executive Director.

 

Senior BJP leader Sanjay Tandon congratulated the organizers and participants for successfully reviving the prestigious festival.

 

“Raunak Mela reflects the vibrant cultural heritage of our youth and showcases the immense talent present in educational institutions. Such initiatives not only promote creativity but also strengthen values of teamwork, leadership, and social harmony among students,” said Sanjay Tandon.

 

He further added that cultural festivals play an important role in nurturing confidence and national cultural identity among young generations and appreciated PU-ISSER for providing a meaningful platform to students.

 

The second day continued with energetic Bhangra, Giddha, and other dance performances, while student-run stalls attracted large participation and appreciation from visitors.

 

The event concluded with a Valedictory Session during which event leaders and contributors were honoured with trophies in recognition of their outstanding efforts and dedication.

 

Aditya Takiar, Jaskaran Bhullar , Parvendra Negi, Ashish Sharma , Arpita Malik , Himangi Sharma were also present.

 

 

Professor Anju Suri delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all guests, faculty members, and students for making the festival a grand success.
