Telephone Discussion with Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala
Rajya Sabha MP and senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala could not attend the meeting due to his prior commitments and a busy schedule. In this regard, Haryana Congress in-charge Sanjay Dutt and State Congress President Rao Narender Singh held a telephone conversation with him.
During the conversation, they discussed preparations for the ‘Save Vote, Save Country’ mega rally scheduled to take place at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on November 1, ensuring large-scale participation of Congress workers from Haryana, and various measures to make the Save Democracy campaign more effective.
Discussions were also held on the roadmap for the ‘Save Democracy’ campaign, which will commence on November 3 through village-level chaupals (public meetings) across Haryana. Under this campaign, Congress leaders and workers will engage directly with people in rural areas and raise public awareness about important issues, including democratic values, a fair electoral process, and the protection of voting rights.
Haryana Congress aims to transform this campaign into a statewide mass movement and ensure the active participation of party workers at every level of the organisation. To achieve this objective, the party leadership deliberated on strengthening organisational coordination, public outreach, and grassroots engagement.
The Congress leadership reiterated that the party would continue its struggle to strengthen democracy and safeguard citizens’ voting rights. Through the November 1 mega rally in Delhi and the subsequent village-level chaupals, the party will endeavour to take the message of protecting democracy and voting rights to every corner of Haryana.
