Chandigarh, January 02: Smt. Harpreet Kaur Babla, Mayor, Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS, Commissioner, Sh. Pardeep Kumar, IAS, Special Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, along with Councillors, today extended a warm welcome to the Nagar Kirtan organized on the auspicious occasion of the Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
The Nagar Kirtan commenced from Gurdwara Sahib, Sector 34, and is proceeding towards Gurdwara Sahib, Sector 8, Chandigarh. A large number of devotees participated in the procession, including Panj Pyare, children, Gatka groups, religious organizations, and residents from different parts of the city, displaying great devotion and enthusiasm.
The Mayor appreciated the efforts of the organizers and conveyed her heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the Sangat on this holy occasion.
The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh made comprehensive arrangements for the convenience of the devotees, including the provision of drinking water, tea, and bread Pakoda for the Sangat. Special cleanliness arrangements were also ensured along the route of the Nagar Kirtan to facilitate a smooth and orderly procession across the city.
