Chandigarh/Panchkula : Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Rao Narendra Singh released the Congress party’s special manifesto for the Panchkula Municipal Corporation Elections 2026. On this occasion, MLA Chander Mohan, mayoral candidate Sudha Bhardwaj, State Media In-charge Sanjeev Bhardwaj, and District President Sanjay Chauhan, along with other senior leaders, were present.
While releasing the manifesto, Rao Narendra Singh said that this document is not merely a collection of promises, but a concrete roadmap for the comprehensive and planned development of Panchkula, prepared keeping in mind the city’s real issues and the needs of its people.
He stated that the manifesto prioritizes key issues such as developing Panchkula as a smart city, improving the drinking water system, reconstruction of roads and streets, strengthening the waste management system, and providing permanent solutions to parking and traffic problems. It also includes commitments for multi-level parking, free parking, development of a solar city, and better urban infrastructure.
The manifesto also promises better coordination with RWAs, simplification of the booking process for community centers, beautification of commercial areas, and ensuring accessible services for senior citizens, differently-abled individuals, and the needy.
Rao Narendra Singh further stated that basic amenities such as electricity, water, roads, and sanitation will be ensured in slum areas and colonies. Additionally, special focus will be given to the installation of CCTV cameras, Wi-Fi facilities, development of cyber hubs, improved healthcare and sanitation services, as well as the construction and maintenance of public toilets.
He also assured that pending development works will be completed within a fixed timeline and strict action will be taken against corruption by ensuring transparency in the Municipal Corporation.
Rao Narendra Singh expressed confidence that this manifesto will set a new direction for the development of Panchkula and make the city modern, well-organized, and citizen-friendly. He appealed to voters to support Congress and strengthen the politics of development and accountability.
During the press conference, Shashi Sharma, Jasveer Malour, Vijay Bansal, and several other office bearers were also present.
