The HPSC has become a hub for recruitment scams, paper leaks, bribery, and the granting of Haryana jobs to people from outside Haryana – Deepender Hooda

Haryana Youth Congress protests against the neglect of Haryana youth in Haryana jobs and the corruption in HPSC recruitments. MP Deepender Hooda Joins the HPSC Office Dharna

*Panchkula, February 17.* MP Deepender Hooda stated that the youth of Haryana are not abandoned; he stands with them and will fight for their rights and stated that the HPSC has become a rejection commission for Haryana youth instead of a selection commission.

Deepender today joined the Haryana Youth Congress' dharna and gherao of the HPSC office and raised the youth's voice against the neglect of Haryana youth in jobs, irregularities in HPSC recruitment, and rising unemployment in the state.

Following the meeting in Sector 5, police barricaded them and sprayed them with water cannons while en route to the HPSC office. Following this, MP Deepender Hooda, MP Varun Chaudhary, the Youth Congress National President, and the State President, along with all the leaders, were detained.

“For the past 12 years, the BJP government has been defrauding the youth of Haryana in the name of recruitment. The HPSC has become a hub of recruitment scams, paper leaks, bribery, and the granting of Haryana jobs to those from outside Haryana. The BJP government is neglecting Haryana youth in every recruitment process and prioritizing non-Haryanvi candidates,” he said.

“Most positions in Haryana either remain vacant or are filled by outsiders. Such injustice is not happening anywhere else in the country. Major development projects, such as the International Airport, the Rail Coach Factory, Gurugram's Defense University, and 11 national-level health institutions in Jhajjar, which we had approved, have also been diverted outside Haryana. Had these projects been implemented in Haryana, millions of local youth would have been employed. Now, even the HPSC is recruiting outsiders. In such a situation, where should the youth of Haryana go,” he questioned.

Deepender said Haryana youth top the UPSC, IIT, NET, JRF, and other major competitive exams, but the HPSC, as part of a deliberate conspiracy, is disqualifying them from its own examinations. He demanded that the HPSC Chairman be immediately dismissed and a Haryana resident be appointed. The HPSC be dissolved, an impartial investigation into all recruitment scams be conducted, and the culprits be prosecuted. All vacant HPSC positions be re-advertised.

Deepender sarcastically remarked that the name of a Haryana youth is ‘Gayab’ from the Haryana recruitment list, while the Chief Minister's name ‘Nayab.’ He further stated that the HPSC's selection of outsiders not only increases frustration among local youth but also paralyzes Haryana's administration.

“Corruption is rampant in government offices. Haryana is the only state among the 28 states in the country where the HPSC Chairman has been brought in from outside. There is no other state where the Chairman of the Public Service Commission has been appointed from outside the state. Since the HPSC Chairman has been appointed from outside, most of the candidates selected are from other states, whereas in other states, the governments give priority to the youth of their own states for jobs,” he pointed out.

He further stated the rights of the people of Haryana are being violated as part of a deliberate conspiracy, and even those who benefit from reservation are being cheated. Haryana's youth are migrating through the "dunki" route, and Group A, B, and C jobs in Haryana are migrating to other states.

Citing examples of students from states outside Haryana being selected and reserved seats remaining vacant, he said that HCS has 39 vacancies out of 100, ADO Agriculture has 550 vacancies out of 600, PGT Physical Education has 683 vacancies out of 1325, PGT Computer Science has 1672 vacancies out of 1711, PGT Maths has 269 vacancies out of 456, PGT Physical Education (2024) has 180 vacancies out of 226, and PGT Physics has 310 vacancies out of 410.

Of the few positions that were available, most were selected from outside Haryana. Giving examples of this, he said that out of 157 Lecturers in Technical Education, 103 were from outside, out of 80 SDO Electrical, 78 were from outside, in the second recruitment of SDO Electrical, 77 out of 99 were from outside, out of 18 Assistant Professors in Political Science, 11 were from outside, out of 394 AMOs, 275 were from outside. Earlier, in the recruitment of Assistant Engineer AE/SDO in Haryana Power Utilities (HPU), 214 candidates were called for document verification, out of which only 29 were from Haryana. Deepender Hooda said that earlier, in the selection of Civil Judge, out of 110, 60 were from outside, out of 49 in the Irrigation Department, 28 were from outside Haryana.

Deepender said the classes which should have benefited from reservation are also being cheated through the backdoor. Giving an example of this, he said that last week, 151 candidates were selected out of 613 for the post of Assistant Professor, English, and the remaining posts remained vacant. He said out of 60 reserved seats only 1 was selected, and the remaining seats were left vacant under the guise of several conditions including 35%, doing great injustice to the DSC category.

Prominently present on this occasion were MP Varun Chaudhary, National President of Youth Congress Udaybhanu Chhib, State Youth Congress President Nishit Kataria, former President of Youth Congress Divyanshu Buddhiraja, former President of Youth Congress Sachin Kundu, Shweta Dhul, Congress District President, leaders of all frontal organizations and a large number of workers.
