Chandigarh, September 14 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the BJP will emerge victorious in Punjab in the upcoming Assembly elections. Thereafter, following the policies of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, the BJP government in the state will once again make Punjab the number one state in terms of development.
Sh. Saini was speaking to the media on Monday after inducting several leaders into the party at his residence, Sant Kabir Kutir, in Chandigarh. BJP Punjab President Kewal Singh Dhillon and Pritpal Singh Baliawal spokesperson & Co- Media Incharge BJP Punjab also present on the occasion.
Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini welcomed into the BJP Major Bhupinder Singh Badal, cousin of former Punjab Chief Minister Late Parkash Singh Badal, who served as his political adviser for 25 years, along with his son Amarveer Singh Badal, President of the Municipal Council, Sanaur, and AAP leader Pradeep Joshon, besides several other leaders. Sh. Saini formally inducted them into the party by presenting them with BJP scarves.
Welcoming all the leaders who joined the BJP, Sh. Saini said that they would be given full respect and honour in the party. He said that with these leaders joining the BJP, the party has become further strengthened in Punjab.
Taking a dig at the Congress and AAP, he said that the governments of neither of these parties had fulfilled their electoral promises. People have become so fed up with their corrupt practices that they are now looking towards the BJP with great hope. Accusing Punjab Chief Minister Sh. Bhagwant Singh Mann of passing time by cracking jokes, Sh. Saini said that whenever people question him about the electoral promises, he starts telling jokes. The Aam Aadmi Party is even two steps ahead of the Congress when it comes to failing to fulfil its promises.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that after the formation of a BJP government in Punjab, a favourable environment would be created for setting up industries so that maximum employment opportunities could be provided to the youth. He also said that a strong crackdown would be launched against drugs and the youth would be encouraged to take up sports. Like Haryana, a sporting environment would also be created in Punjab so that the players of the state could win more and more medals for the country and make the state proud.
