Ensuring safety standards in clubs: DC Satpal Sharma

Panchkula Administration cracks down on clubs operating beyond permitted hours

DC directs club owners to ensure safety, maintain records, and adhere to timings

Panchkula, December 8:  Deputy Commissioner Sh. Satpal Sharma held a meeting today with club owners in Sector-5, Panchkula, to review safety standards in their establishments. He directed them to strictly follow all prescribed safety norms to prevent any untoward incidents. He also warned that strict action would be taken against any club found violating these instructions.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police Smt Srishti Gupta, DCP Crime and Traffic Sh Manpreet Singh Sudan, Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioner (Excise) Sh Pradeep Yadav, Excise Inspectors Sh Rajiv Kumar and Sh Sonu were also present on this occasion. 

The Deputy Commissioner instructed club owners to ensure that their activities do not cause any inconvenience to the general public. 

He issued a stern warning, emphasizing that clubs must operate strictly in accordance with the prescribed rules and conduct only those activities permitted under their licenses. He also stressed adherence to the timings specified by the state government, warning that any club found operating beyond the stipulated hours would face strict action as per the law.

 Satpal Sharma also stated that clubs are responsible for providing a safe environment for visitors, maintaining records of entries and exits, and ensuring that the number of people does not exceed the prescribed capacity. They must also obtain all necessary fire safety clearances and other mandatory NOCs (No Objection Certificates). He emphasized that the volume of DJ music should remain within prescribed limits to avoid disturbing nearby residents.

Deputy Commissioner of Police  Srishti Gupta instructed that visitors should be thoroughly screened before entering clubs to prevent any anti-social elements from carrying weapons or other prohibited items. She emphasized that the police must be informed immediately if anyone onl ok attempts to create a disturbance. Smt Shristhi Gupta added that the Panchkula Police  is committed to maintaining law and order, and the cooperation of club owners is vital in this effort.
