Chandigarh: In a major political development in Punjab, Navjot Kaur Sidhu has been suspended from the Congress party. The information was shared through an official letter released by Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring.
According to the party letter, the decision was taken due to alleged indiscipline and repeated controversial statements made by Navjot Kaur Sidhu. Raja Warring stated that strict action would be taken against anyone who goes against the party line.
Recently, Navjot Kaur Sidhu had made a statement in Chandigarh that created a political stir. In that statement, she reportedly mentioned the issue of a “₹500 crore attache case” involving the Chief Minister, which further intensified the political atmosphere.
Following this, the Congress high command has sought a report on the matter, while opposition parties have started targeting the Congress over the issue. The development is being seen as significant in Punjab’s political circles.
